The Zoo in Miami is home to more than 2,000 animals and over 750 plants and trees from its native Florida, as well as Africa, Asia, the Amazon, and Australia. Explore five themed zones and come face-to-face with jaguars, lions, elephants, bears, camels, and many more species from across the globe! 

This is among the best places to visit in Miami with the family as there’s something for everyone. Along with the animal habitats, there are feedings to watch and zookeeper talks where you can learn about the zoo's conservation efforts and how the animals are cared for. The zoo is proud to be involved in many conservation programs annually across five continents and are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Nice zoo, very looooong walk. If you have small kids or back pain I recommend getting a scooter or other rental.

All the Aminals were super active got some great videos. They had a great selection of reptiles. Would definitely come back but get the carts where you can ride around in the zoo is huge and hot. But they do have a great amount of inside area to cool off with animals

We must have lucked out - we barely saw anyone else while we were there - no crowds. Could see all animals. But be prepared to walk! There are rental strollers, bikes, etc … easy to follow signs, we barely looked at our own map.
