The Royal Apartments are the group of rooms collectively used for hosting royal events and receptions. They include the State Apartments, the Bernadotte Apartments and the Guest Apartment, the Hall of State and the rooms of the Royal Orders. You'll get to admire the stunning décor and interiors for Royal use, as well as the banquet hall for galas, and the Guest Apartment which hosts the visiting dignitary during state visits.

In this museum, you can learn more about the Tre Kronor Palace in Stockholm, destroyed by a fire in 1697. Learn the story of the palace's origins as a fort and how it became an opulent Renaissance palace. A visit to the museum will also take you through a surviving defense wall dating back to the 1200s.

See the Swedish royal family’s crown jewels and regalia in the palace’s Royal Treasury. Housed in the dark vaults in the cellar these priceless regalia are under lock and key. See Gustav Vasa´s sword of state, Erik XIV´s crown, scepter and orb, and Lovisa Ulrika´s crown – among other crowns and the silver baptismal font from 1696 which is still being used by the Royal family.

King Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities is deemed one of the oldest museums in Europe, opening first in 1794. Thanks to King Gustav III and his keen interest in art and antiquities, you can enjoy and appreciate his personal collection of 200 sculptures from Italy and around Europe.
