    Get up close to some of the planet's most incredible creatures at Los Angeles Zoo. The LA Zoo is home to mammals, birds, and reptiles from around the world, including several rare and endangered species.

    You’ll see everything from lowland gorillas and seals to Komodo dragons and rare snow leopards. Whilst exploring the LA Zoo exhibits and habitats, you’ll also learn about the zoo's conservation efforts. The LA zoo works with organizations around the globe to reduce habitat destruction, stop overhunting and provide education about decreasing animal populations.

    Los Angeles Zoo highlights

    Birds – see and hear dozens of colorful and noisy species including ostriches, parrots, Congo peafowls, king vultures, and more. The Angela Collier World of Birds show highlights the behaviors of more than 20 types of birds, from macaws and cranes to condors and hawks.

    Mammals – you’ll see unique mammals from all around the globe such as jaguars, African wild dogs, African lions, koalas, wallabies, desert bighorn sheep, mountain tapir, and dozens more.

    Reptiles – the LA features many scaly residents. Get close, but not too close, to American alligators, green mamba, Komodo dragons, and Mexican beaded lizards. Don’t forget to check out the impressive shells on the Aldabra tortoises and Madagascar radiated tortoises.

    Invertebrates – if you can handle it then get an up-close view of the desert hairy scorpion and sunburst diving beetle.

    Getting in

    Present your pass at the LA Zoo ticket booth. 

    Please note: a child pass only covers admission for children from the ages of three to 12. If you have a child under the age of three, you'll need to pay for their admission ticket separately. Children under the age of two are free and do not require a ticket.
