See the city at your own pace with a choice of two hop-on hop-off bus routes that take in the best of historic and modern Madrid.

Take a hop-on hop-off bus tour of Madrid with Go City®

    • With us, there are no additional fees on the day – all you've got to do is show your pass.
    • You can hop on and off the buses as many times as you like in a single day and mix and match between the two routes.
    • See historic sights such as the Plaza Mayor, Prado Museum and Royal Palace, and the best of modern Madrid, including Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the grand Serrano shopping boulevard.
    • Buses include multilingual audio guides in 14 different languages.

There are two routes to choose from and you can mix and match between them throughout the day.

    Route 1 (blue):

Hop on to the blue route for a tour of Madrid’s most historic landmarks. Highlights of this circuit include the Temple of Debod with its tranquil pools and graceful stone arches. This ancient Egyptian shrine was donated to Spain by the Egyptian state in the 1960s and relocated to Madrid, where it has remained a firm favorite with locals ever since.

Art lovers will relish the opportunity to hop off at the world-class Prado Museum, with its distinctive colonnaded entrance and huge collection of European art, including works by Goya, Bosch, Rubens, Velázquez and many more.

See the Almudena Cathedral with its magnificent dome and soaring bell towers, and the grand Royal Palace, the largest in Europe. You can also whiz past Puerta de Alcalá – one of the ancient gates to the city – and over Madrid’s oldest bridge, the Puente de Segovia.

A non-stop circuit of the historic blue route lasts around an hour and 20 minutes.

    Route 2 (green):

The green route focuses on Madrid’s more modern side, taking in bustling shopping streets, the KIO Towers and the Real Madrid soccer stadium.

Calle de Serrano is a luxury shoppers’ paradise in the heart of Madrid. Jump off here for clothes and shoes from some of the world’s top designers, including Manolo Blahnik and Prada. You’ll need deep pockets for a trip to the jewelry quarter where sparkling window displays from the likes of Cartier and Bulgari vie for your attention. Spain’s famous department store El Corte Inglés is the place to go for electronics, homeware, designer accessories and more.

Retreat beneath the underpass just off Serrano for a surprising collection of abstract sculptures by Spanish artists, scattered across three levels in the open-air Museum of Public Art.

A circuit of the modern green route takes just over an hour and also takes in Plaza de Colón, Puerta del Sol and much more. Both routes include a map detailing all the stops, as well as a booklet offering discounts at a number of shops and restaurants across Madrid.
