This 90-minute guided Segway tour of Madrid’s great green lung takes in many of the park’s finest attractions.

Retiro’s sprawling 350 acres of lush green parkland are peppered with opulent palaces, landscaped gardens with whooshing fountains, and many splendid statues and sculptures. Cruising along silently on a Segway is a really fun way to take in as many of the park’s highlights as possible.

There’s plenty on this 90-minute guided tour to satisfy the most avid of sightseers. You’ll see the glittering Crystal Palace – an enormous exhibition space in gleaming glass and iron that was originally built as a hothouse for tropical plants. It’s tranqul lakeside location is a great place to stop and breathe in the fresh air.

Trundle through the sweetly scented rose garden to the Fountain of the Fallen Angel, whose dramatic depiction of Lucifer’s descent from heaven is said to be the only public statue of satan in the world. 

This whistle-stop tour of the Retiro Park also passes by world-famous attractions including the colonnaded Prado Museum as you meander back to the starting point.
