Step back in time and discover history where it actually happened at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.

Located in two World War II-era hangars that were bombed during the infamous attack of December 7, 1941, this one-of-a-kind museum brings the past to life with incredible aircraft, immersive exhibits and powerful stories.

Explore hangars #37 and #79 on a self-guided tour, complete with easy-to-use audio guides that share fascinating tales about the planes and the people who flew them. From a civilian plane riddled with bullet holes to legendary aircraft like the B-25B Mitchell and the SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber, every corner of the museum reveals something awe-inspiring.

Want to kick things up a notch? Kids (and kids at heart) can hop into a thrilling 360-degree combat flight simulator and test their pilot skills. For an even bigger adventure, upgrade to the Top of the Tower Tour and climb 15 stories for unbeatable 360° views, a look at the restored elevator and a chance to stand in a space closed to the public for decades.

Getting in

There's no need to book in advance. Enter Pearl Harbor Memorial and walk towards the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum. Right in front of the museum, to the right hand side, is the bus stop for the Ford Island Shuttle. You need to take this bus (free of charge) to visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. The bus will stop at the USS Missouri Battle Ship first. If you wish to visit both attractions, we highly recommend that you get off at the first stop and visit the Aviation Museum afterward.

Accessing Ford Island, where the Museum is located, you may be asked to present identification (such as a driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport) when boarding or while riding the shuttle bus. Please note that foreign visitors are required to carry their passport.
Ample parking is available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center ($7 per vehicle).
Children under four can enter the museum for free.

Visitor tips

Passholders may upgrade their experience by booking the Top of the Tower Tour for a discounted rate of $10. Reservations for this can be made in person on the day of your visit and are subject to availability.

Please note:

A National Historic Landmark, Pearl Harbor is also an active military base. For security reasons, bags are not permitted at any of the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. For a small fee, visitors may store backpacks, purses, luggage, and shopping bags at the baggage storage area located in the front of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
