    Saint Patrick's Cathedral is brimming with monuments, 200 at last count. From Fulke de Saundford, a stone effigy in the North Choir Aisle, to the Tree of Remembrance, the cathedral’s newest monument to commemorate the centenary of World War I, there is plenty to see within the church that documents Ireland’s social history. Other monuments on show are the great Boyle monument which dates back to 1632, as well as statues of politicians and military men throughout the ages.

    Service
    Music has played an integral part in the life of Saint Patrick's since its foundation and it is the only cathedral in Ireland to sing two services every day. If you want to attend a service, please check the official website for up-to-date service times.

    • Handel's Messiah was first performed at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in 1742 by the combined choir of Saint Patrick's and Christ Church.
