What you'll do

Hong Kong’s role in World War 2 is little known outside of the territory: this in-depth tour rectifies that with fascinating glimpses of the conflict that shaped its history.

In December 1941, British rule was surrendered to Japan following a short but bloody battle. Hong Kong remained occupied by Japan until their own surrender at the end of the war.

Your guide brings the story to life with fascinating insights into how the war played out here, illustrated by visits to relics and defense works, including bunkers and pillboxes, that survived the battle, the occupation and the intervening years since 1945.
