Alligator facts
- Alligators are known as opportunistic feeders, so they'll eat just about anything they can overpower. Their diet consists mainly of snakes, rough fish, turtles, and birds.
- Crocodile tears are a real thing. Both alligators and crocodiles shed genuine tears, but only to clean and moisturize their eyes – not because they're sad.
