The Key West Aquarium serves as a window into what lies beneath the surface. Come face-to-face with reef sharks, tropical fish, barracudas, and much more.
The aquarium aims to educate visitors on Florida’s ocean life and champions conservation efforts to save the sea turtles. Working with the Florida Sea Turtle Stranding Network, the aquarium houses and rehabilitates injured or sick turtles. There are currently several turtles calling the aquarium home as they are nursed back to full health.
To ensure you cover the most ground on your day at the aquarium, hop on one of the many tours that run every 20-30 minutes throughout the day.

Touch Tank/Aquarium History
Follow your tour guide to the interactive touch tanks. Feel the slimy backs of sting rays and trace the unique designs of each starfish while listening to the story of Key West Aquarium. It’s the first open-air aquarium ever opened in the United States.
