What you'll do

Discover the fascinating history of Chinatown on this tour of its most important and best-loved landmarks. There’s a tale to tell around every corner in Manhattan’s bustling Chinatown neighborhood. Your knowledgeable guide will regale you with facts and anecdotes as weave your way through the narrow, labyrinthine streets, passing colorful storefronts, bustling market stalls and restaurants rich with the heady aromas of Chinese cooking. You’ll enjoy access to places not usually open to public tours and visit landmarks including the tallest Buddha statue in New York, a Taoist Temple, and the old Five Points neighborhood – made famous by Martin Scorsese’s 2002 movie Gangs of New York. The tour’s grand finale is a visit inside the CCBA – the Chinatown Consolidated Benevolent Association – headquarters of the honorary ‘Mayor of Chinatown’. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse!
