What you'll do

Visit one of Rome's most fascinating neighborhoods, steeped in Jewish culture and history.

Enjoy a Jewish Ghetto Tour with Go City®

  • Discover the enchanting ghetto, with its cobblestone streets, small fountains and hidden squares.
  • Led by a professional guide.
  • Small group of 15 people or fewer.

Walk through the alleys of the historical Jewish ghetto and explore the monuments, buildings and streets that reflect the stories of one of the oldest Jewish communities in the world.

On this 1.5-hour tour, you'll retrace the history of the Jewish people in the city of Rome, from ancient to modern times. Led by an expert guide, you'll discover fascinating stories and stunning monuments of Imperial Rome, such as the Theater of Marcellus or Portico of Octavia.

Along the way, you can learn all about the typical recipes of traditional Jewish-Roman cuisine, such as the delicious artichokes "alla giudia" or ricotta and sour cherry tart.

After admiring the 19th-century synagogue, you will end your visit with the sounds of the water of the renaissance turtle fountain in Piazza Mattei.

Jewish Ghetto Tour Highlights
