Please email [email protected] with your pass number(s) at least 24 hours ahead of the tour you'd like to attend. You'll then hear back confirming your desired time or suggesting an alternative.

Getting in

Just show your pass and booking confirmation to the guide when you arrive at the meeting point.

Please note:

There is a strict dress code, no shorts or sleeveless shirts are allowed.

Will I still need to queue with my pass?

Yes, there is no skip-the-line access to St Peter's Basilica sothe tour group will be required to wait in line to get in waiting times vary but are usually between one and two hours, but your guide will be with you to keep you entertained with the history of the Basilica.

Is there security to get in?

Yes, you will need to go through airport-style security to enter the Basilica so leave liquids and sharp items at home, just bring a small bag with you for any essentials.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, there is a strict dress code, no shorts or sleeveless shirts are allowed.

Tours in English run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, meeting at 7:45AM.
Tours in French run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, meeting at 8:10AM. (April through September only)

From November 1, 2024 to February 16, 2025: Tours in French are not running.

From November 18, 2024 to November 30, 2024: NO tours are running.

From December 2, 2024 to February 16, 2025: Tours in English run from 8:10AM.

Closings & holidays

The tour will not run on April 9th & 25th, May 1st, June 2nd & 29th, August 15th and November 18th–30th.

Please note: the Basilica can be subject to last-minute closures.
