Buried nine meters beneath the busy streets of Rome's Trevi District, lies an ancient building complex with a fascinating history for you to discover. You'll see an example of a Roman Domus - a Roman house that was typically occupied by the upper classes during the Republican and Imperial eras of the empire. You will also see the Castellum Aquae (a Roman water distributor) of the Aqua Virgo, one of 11 aqueducts that supplied water to ancient Rome and still supplies water to the Trevi Fountain to this day.

You'll learn much about the city's history through marveling at these preserved structures. Your travel back in time will give you an understanding of some of ancient Rome's most important events which characterized the city’s history, from the realization of the Aqua Virgo to the Great Fire of Rome. There are also exhibits featuring collections of artifacts, including the famous bust of Alexander Helios.
