What you'll do
Gardens by the Bay is Singapore's answer to paradise, described as “a green jewel where wonder blooms”. Instantly recognizable, the nature park has become a symbol of Singapore.
Spanning over 101 hectares and containing a staggering 1.5 million plants, its gardens vary in climate and theme, featuring plants from all over the world alongside ever-changing floral displays.
You’ll get to explore lush indoor and outdoor gardens, lakes, conservatories, huge sculptures, artwork, and more. Wander around the outdoor gardens, such as Serene Garden and Bay East Garden, and across the special aerial walkways.
Stop to take in the stunning sculptures and artworks dotted around the park. Learn about Singapore’s culture told through plants at the Heritage Garden.
Don’t forget your camera - you’ll want to take plenty of snaps of the striking flora and fauna.
Gardens by the Bay Highlights
Flower Dome
Step inside the world’s largest glass greenhouse and marvel at the Flower Dome. Be amazed by the displays based on flowers from five continents across nine gardens. You’ll get to see thousand-year-old olive trees and unusual Baobab trees, too.
Cloud Forest
Feel like you’ve entered another world at the Cloud Forest conservatory. This display takes you up into the clouds, with its striking mountain views and diverse 72,000-strong range of plants. The Cloud Forest is also home to the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, which stands at 30m high. You'll get to see it from the treetop walk.
Sun Pavillion
Head here to see desert plants like cacti and succulents. Walk among 1,000 desert plants of around 100 different species and learn all about rare and unusual plants.
Borealis
Explore the magical splendour of the Northern Lights amidst the Supertrees. Check out the immersive light and sound installation at Gardens by the Bay, created by Switzerland-based artist Dan Archer. This fascinating exhibition blends art and technology to produce an ever-changing experience. Layers of light and cloud particles are illuminated and accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack by the French composer Guillaume Desbois.
Special events
Opening 29 May 2025, Jurassic World: The Experience makes its debut within the mist-shrouded Cloud Forest.
Presented by NEON and Universal Live Entertainment, this immersive experience brings to life the cinematic wonder of the Jurassic World film franchise through life-sized animatronic dinosaurs within its cooled conservatory.
Surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful waterfalls, prepare to be transported back in time hundreds of millions of years to an era when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.
Featuring 13 fantastic zones, Jurassic World: The Experience includes an awe-inspiring 8.5-meter-tall Brachiosaurus, a nursery where visitors can spend time with baby dinosaurs, and a face-to-face moment with a Tyrannosaurus rex.
Cloud Forest boasts over 50 species with lineages that can be traced back to the Jurassic period, including ferns, cycads, and conifers. These plants once thrived alongside dinosaurs and even served as food for them.
