What you'll do
Gardens by the Bay is Singapore's answer to paradise. Instantly recognizable, the nature park has become a symbol of Singapore.
Spanning over 101 hectares and containing a staggering 1.5 million plants, its gardens vary in climate and theme and feature flora from all over the world.
You’ll get to explore indoor and outdoor gardens, lakes, conservatories, huge sculptures, artwork, and more. Wander around the outdoor gardens like Serene Garden and Bay East Garden. Stop to take in the stunning sculptures and artworks dotted around the park. Learn about Singapore’s culture told through plants at the Heritage Garden.
Don’t forget your camera - you’ll want to take plenty of snaps of the striking flora and fauna.
Highlights
Flower Dome
Step inside the world’s largest glass greenhouse and marvel at the Flower Dome. Be amazed by the displays based on flowers from five continents across nine gardens. You’ll get to see thousand-year-old olive trees and unusual Baobab trees, too.
Cloud Forest
Feel like you’ve entered into another world at the Cloud Forest conservatory. This display takes you up into the clouds, with striking mountain views and a diverse range of plants. The Cloud Forest is also home to the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, which stands at 30m high, which you’ll get to see from the treetop walk.
Sun Pavillion
Head here to see desert plants like cacti and succulents. Walk among 1,000 desert plants of around 100 different species and learn all about rare and unusual plants.
Borealis
Explore the magical splendour of the Northern Lights amidst the Supertrees. Check out the immersive light and sound installation at Garden's by the Bay created by Switzerland-based artist Dan Archer. This fascinating exhibition blends art and technology to produce an ever-changing experience; layers of light and cloud particles are illumiated and accompanied by an atmospheric sountrack by French composer Guillaume Desbois.
