The best time to surf is typically during low tide (however, the water might be busier and/or surfboards hire in Bondi may not be available) and read up on surfing etiquette before you try surfing for safety.

- Bring a bathing suit to wear under your Bondi wetsuit rental and a towel
- There are no lockers at Bondi Beach for storing valuables so leave them at your hotel
- Surfboard rentals are based on availability when you arrive and cannot be reserved (call in advance to avoid showing up and not being able to rent)
