What you'll do
You'll climb aboard a Clipper City Tall Ship and sail past NYC's essential landmarks - the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the iconic skyline of lower Manhattan.
Harness your inner shipmate and enjoy the sensation of gliding over the waves on this magnificent historic vessel. It's all hands on deck as you see the crew shimmy up the mast to adjust the sails on this authentic experience. The vessel might be built in the style of a historic 19th-century ship, but it's designed for comfort with spacious decks and seating areas. Relax and enjoy the historic ambiance and unbeatable views of NYC from everywhere on the ship.
Full standing bar onboard, for those who would like to elevate their experience with a toast.
Facts
The original Clipper City was built as a cargo ship in 1854, just before the start of the Civil War, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Its name is derived from its home of origin, a town that gained a reputation as being a hub of American shipbuilding.
The plans for the original Clipper City are on record at the Smithsonian, and its cross-sections are housed at Wisconsin Maritime Museum. This steel-hulled replica is very close to the real thing and offers a safe and enjoyable ride that will take you back in nautical time.
