If you ever wanted to be an astronaut or navy commander, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and Space Shuttle is for you. You’ll learn all about American military and maritime history through the unique exhibits which are located in an actual aircraft carrier called Intrepid.

April 1-October 31:
Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 10:00 am-6:00 pm

November 1-March 31:
Daily, 10:00 am-5:00 pm

Closest Subway Stop

A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, 7 or S trains to 42nd Street. Then walk west to the Hudson River (12th Ave) and walk 4 blocks north to Intrepid.

Closest Bus Stop

Take the M42 (42nd St) or M50 (50th St) cross-town buses west to 12th Ave and the Hudson River. Intrepid is a short walk north from the M42 bus stop. The M50 bus drops off in front of the Intrepid.
