Christmas Day

Know before you go

Getting In: There are two departure points to choose from: Battery Park in Manhattan OR Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Present your Pass at the Statue Cruises ticket counters inside Castle Clinton at Battery Park or at Liberty State Park where you will receive a boarding ticket for entry.

Important - you will need to pick up your boarding pass prior to getting on the ferry. Additionally, you will need to enter through a security checkpoint before boarding the ferry, but do not get into this security line without first retrieving your Statue of Liberty ferry ticket. Once you have your ticket, expect to pass through airport-level security and be prepared for a long wait. We suggest arriving early in the morning. Allow at least 2 hours to visit one island and 4 hours to visit both islands. Your Pass provides you access to the Liberty Island only. Tickets to the Statue’s “Pedestal” and “Crown” require a reservation and space is limited. Pedestal and Crown tickets are not available with your Pass.

Please Note:

  • Access to the Pedestal and Crown of the Statue of Liberty is not included with your Pass. If you wish to add access to those parts of the statue, you will need book Crown Reserve and/or Pedestal Reserve tickets separately and make reservations as soon as possible as space is limited and tours often sell out months in advance.
  • Children under 4 are admitted for FREE.
  • Three experiences in one - includes roundtrip tickets for the Ellis Island ferry; a visit the Statue of Liberty grounds, and admission to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.* *Does not include entry to pedestal or crown levels inside Statue of Liberty - must be purchased separately.
  • Museum tickets and audio tour of Ellis Island Museum are available in Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish.
