Family Friendly Restaurants in Oahu

From posh cuisine in Honolulu to relaxed beach fare in Waikiki or Kapolei, you’ll be sure to find tasty dishes wherever you go in Oahu. Influenced by the island’s Polynesian and Japanese heritage, much of the cuisine you’ll come across will have some Asian elements to it. However, there’s so much more to dining in Oahu – French, American, Italian, and more are all available. While there certainly are some more creative culinary destinations that may not appeal to the entire family, Oahu is a very kid-friendly island and a good deal of their dining scene is at least partially geared towards visitors (especially in Honolulu and Waikiki). Here’s a list of our suggestions for some top family friendly restaurants in Oahu! These restaurants are located throughout Oahu, but many are within an easy drive of some great Oahu attractions, so they can be easily worked into your family vacation itinerary.

Nearby Attractions: Diamond Head, Waikiki Aquarium, Kapiolani Park Looking to roam the dining scene on your own? While Waikiki and Honolulu will have the highest concentration of restaurants and the most variety in cuisine, don’t be afraid to explore other neighborhoods and towns like Kailua and the North Shore. Bear in mind that some of the tastiest restaurants may be in some unimpressive venues, so don’t pass up that beachside shack serving mai tais and crab legs. For a real Hawaiian dining experience, make sure you try shaved ice at some point during your trip!
