What you'll do
Head to ARTIS Amsterdam Zoo just 10 minutes from the city centre and explore stunning flower gardens, historic monuments and adorable newborn elephant calves!
There’s plenty to do and see at ARTIS that’ll make you feel like you’re traveling the world. Head to Madagascar at the renewed Kerbertterras (formerly the lion enclosure) to visit the ring-tailed and red ruffed lemurs, and turtles. Say hello to Asian small-clawed otters next to the red panda habitat. And make sure to check the daily schedule for zookeeper presentations where you can learn more about jaguars, Asian elephants and many other animals!
Take a walk through the historic city park, explore the beautiful botanical garden and then grab a refreshment at one of the vegetarian restaurants when your feet need a rest.
A visit to the planetarium is a must-see and included with your pass! Enhance your visit with a journey through space, discover stars and planets and marvel at our place in the universe.
Whether you want to learn more about nature and animals or just looking for an amazing day out in Amsterdam, ARTIS has it all. You can also visit other unique ARTIS locations: explore the world of microbes at ARTIS-Micropia and find out how all life is interconnected at ARTIS-Groote Museum.
