What you'll do

Begin your journey through 500 years of Amsterdam's history with the descent down to the Amsterdam Dungeon. There's no turning back now.

With death just around the corner in the Torture Chamber, the hairs on your neck will be standing on end as you witness the shocking corporal punishments used in times gone by Listen out for the cries of those mercilessly punished in the Golden Ages and come face to face with the Torturer as he searches for his next victims. Beware! One wrong move and you're next.

If you've ever wondered what medieval surgery was like, well here's your chance to find out – spoiler: it's gruesome. Head to Dr Deyman's anatomic theatre and let your senses discover things that you might wish they hadn't. You'll find yourself in the Dungeon's court of law, facing the fearsome judge.

Whether it's witchcraft or robbery, you better get ready to pay the price. Next up is the hangout spot for death row inmates, a place no man dreams of. Will you be able to get out unscathed? Booking required

To make your booking, visit the Amsterdam Dungeon website and follow these instructions.

Choose the option 'Guarantee your access!'
Select the number of tickets you'd like to make a reservation for.
Select the date and time of your visit and click on 'checkout'.
Fill in your personal details and complete your booking by clicking 'complete order'.
You'll receive a confirmation email which you should bring along, together with your pass, on the day of your visit.
