You’ll wander hidden alleyways with your expert guide in search of some of London’s best and oldest pubs and ale houses, some dating back more than 400 years.

Expect cozy nooks, crooked doorways, beamed ceilings and all manner of other quirks in these grand dames of London’s pub culture. These are the places where writers, politicians and even royals have congregated down the years. Soak up the history as you sample fine ales (at your own expense) from local breweries in these atmospheric surroundings.

At Embankment Station the 'Embankment Pier Exit' is the exit of the station closest to the river. On arrival please look for your tour guide holding the yellow umbrella.
: What pubs will we visit on the tour?
The tour calls at four historic pubs, but which exact pubs they are will vary depending on the day, time of year and pub availability.
Are drinks included?
No, you’ll have to pay for your own, but there will be time to have a drink in each pub visited.
Will we have time to eat in any of the pubs?
No, the stops aren’t long enough to order, wait for and eat food, so we recommend eating before the tour or choosing one of the many great local pubs and restaurants afterwards.
I’m under 18. Can I join the tour?
No, the tour is strictly for over-18s only. Please bring a valid form of identification (e.g. passport or driver’s license) as you may be asked to present these by pub staff.
