Departing from Navy Pier, the tour begins with a scenic speedboat ride along Lake Michigan before gliding through the Chicago River. As you navigate the city's waterways, you’ll get up-close views of world-famous landmarks like Willis Tower, Marina City, and the Wrigley Building. You’ll hear the stories behind Chicago’s iconic skyline, from the soaring modern skyscrapers to the historic buildings that helped shape the city, so kick back and relax as you float down the Chicago River and marvel at the city's magnificent architecture.

Getting in

With us, there are no entry fees on the day – all you've got to do is show your pass.

Head to the Navy Pier ticket booth (just past the Navy Pier Centennial Wheel) and show your pass, then you'll be given a spot on the next available cruise.

Please note: your timed departure ticket cannot be modified once issued.
Please note that your pass allows access to one boat tour per day, and each tour can only be taken once during your pass validity. For example, if you choose the Seadog Architectural River Tour from Navy Pier today, you won’t be able to take the same tour again today or on another day. However, you can select one of the other available boat tours (Seadog Lakefront Speedboat Tour or Seadog Extreme Thrill Ride) for a future day.
During June, July and August we recommend visiting during the weekdays for the best availability.
Seadog tours are weather-dependent and may be cancelled in the event of unsafe conditions. Please check the Seadog Architectural River Tour website for the most updated departure times.

How long is the cruise?

The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes.

Can I bring the kids with me?

Of course, bring the whole family (even the dog can come!). However, please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I take food and drink on board?

Yes, you can! You may bring drinks to enjoy on the water (no glass please).

Can I ride this boat have a neck or back condition or if I'm pregnant?

Unfortunately not, this ride is not recommended for those with neck/back conditions or for pregnant guests.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! There are 1,500 indoor parking spaces available at Navy Pier's parking garages.
