The building’s design allows five to eight inches of sway in a 60mph wind. It has been tested to withstand winds of 132 miles-per-hour.
The world’s first skyscraper was built in Chicago in 1885. The Home Insurance building boasted ten floors and was demolished in 1931 to make way for the Field Building, which is now known as the LaSalle Bank Building.

Reservation instructions
Please visit the 360 CHICAGO website to book your slot in advance of your visit. Book early to secure your preferred date and time.
You'll need your pass number and the email address you booked with to make a reservation, you'll need to book for each passholder in your group separately.
If you prefer to visit without a reservation, you can walk up to the box office with your pass to get the next available time slot. However, this is strictly based on same-day availability and is NOT GUARANTEED.
Getting in
Just show your pass and your pre-booked ticket at the admissions desk when you arrive.
As this is an extremely popular attraction, we recommend arriving between 9AM and 2PM for the best availability and shortest wait times. Last entry is one hour before closing.
Please note: you are allowed one single visit to 360 CHICAGO for the duration of your All-Inclusive Pass.
