Buckle up for the ride of your life aboard the Seadog Extreme Thrill Ride, the fastest speedboat experience in Chicago! This isn’t your average sightseeing tour—this is a high-powered adventure packed with sharp turns, heart-racing speeds, and exhilarating 360-degree spins.

Departing from Navy Pier, you’ll blast across Lake Michigan at incredible speeds, with two turbocharged engines ensuring a pulse-pounding experience. The onboard captain and crew keep the energy high with a mix of music, humor, and thrilling maneuvers that will have you gripping your seat in excitement.

As you race across the water, you’ll also get unbeatable views of Chicago’s iconic skyline. From Willis Tower to the John Hancock Center, the city’s architecture looks even more impressive when you’re flying past it at full throttle.

Reservations

Booking required

Book your spot up to three days in advance on the Extreme Thrill Ride tour website. You'll need

your pass number to make a reservation. Remember that your pass must be valid at the

time of your visit.

Getting in

Once you've made your reservation, arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour and show your pass to the City Experiences staff members at the dock queue.

With your pass, you can only reserve one of the following boat tours per day: Seadog Architectural River Tour from Navy Pier, Seadog Extreme Thrill Ride or Seadog Lakefront Speedboat Tour.

Please note:

You must be 48 inches tall to ride the Seadog Extreme at Chicago's Navy Pier.

How long is the ride?

The cruise lasts around 30 minutes.

Can the kids join me?

Of course! This is a family-friendly speedboat tour, in fact, even dogs can join! However, please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! There are 1,500 indoor parking spaces available at Navy Pier's parking garages.

Can I ride this boat have a neck or back condition or if I'm pregnant?

Unfortunately not, this ride is not recommended for those with neck/back conditions or for pregnant guests.

Will I get wet on this tour?

You may get wet during the ride.

Closest Bus Stop: There are five bus lines serving Navy Pier daily: #29 State, #65 Grand, #66 Chicago, #124 Navy Pier and #2 Hyde Park Express. Also accessible via stop 8 on the Big Bus Hop-On and Hop-Off Tour (also available on Go City Chicago)
