Ohio Street Beach in Chicago offers a unique and delightful kayaking experience if you're looking to enjoy the city's stunning skyline from a different perspective. Located near the bustling downtown area, Ohio Street Beach provides a serene escape where you can enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Michigan while also taking in some of the most iconic views of the city.

Your kayak rental includes all of the necessary equipment you need to enjoy your time on the lake, including paddles and a lifejacket. You'll also be given the all-important safety instructions and paddling tips to make sure you make the most of your kayaking adventure.

As you glide along the water, you can see the city from a completely new angle, making it a truly memorable experience!

Don't forget to dress for the weather. Layers are recommended as the weather can shift quickly on Lake Michigan. Sunscreen and a hat are always a good idea, too!

Getting in

Simply show your pass at Bobby's Kayak Chicago at Ohio Street Beach.

This offer is subject to availability.
Customers must be age 18+ to rent a kayak. Ages 13+ can ride a kayak alone if an adult guardian rents the equipment. Tandem kayaks are suitable for ages 4+ with an adult guardian.
Dress for a variety of weather activities. Layers are always recommended because weather can shift quickly when on Lake Michigan. Wear clothing you don't mind getting wet.
Bring a hat and sunscreen for sun protection.
Beginner kayakers are encouraged to paddle a tandem kayak with a more experienced partner.
To rent a tandem kayak, two valid passes are required.
Prior to departure, a safety talk and paddling tips will be provided.
Rental hours may be interrupted due to inclement weather.
*Rentals must return by closing time or be issued a surcharge.
No reimbursements for under participation.
