My 5 year old son really enjoyed going fast on the speedboat and me and my wife enjoyed looking at the sights of the city and the lake and all the history that the guide shared.

Getting in

Head to the Navy Pier ticket booth (just past the Navy Pier Centennial Wheel) and show your pass, then you'll be given a spot on the next available cruise.

During June, July and August we recommend visiting during the weekdays for the best availability.
Seadog tours are weather-dependent and may be cancelled in the event of unsafe conditions. Please check the Seadog Lakefront Speedboat Tour website for the most updated departure times.

Great time for the whole family

Katy Lee · Sep 28, 2026

We had a ton more f fun on the boat! I’ve been to Chicago a number of times but this was a new experience for me and I loved it. Our 5 year old thrill seeker lived it too! It was just the right length so it didn’t get too boring.

Not worth it and felt like a scam

Matt · Aug 25, 2026

Said thrill boat was done for the day at 1pm and put us on the speedboat tour. Was more of a self-deprecating comedy routine than a cool tour with a fast boat travel in between two stops. Felt like company was affiliate marketing for Chicago 360 and not worth it. Do the Architecture Riverboat Tour instead!

Magnificent speed boat tour
