    What you'll do

Home to fish, sharks, penguins, and even hippos - Adventure Aquarium allows you to get up close to some of the water's most fascinating creatures.

Visit the Adventure Aquarium with Go City®

    • With us, there are no entry fees on the day – all you've got to do is show your pass.
    • Enjoy general admission to the Philadelphia aquarium and access to all exhibits.
    • Check out Shark Bridge, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
    • Visit daily live shows and animal feedings.

Travel through 14 aquatic exhibits and discover the beasts and predators of the ocean at Philadelphia's Adventure Aquarium.

This unique Philadelphia-area aquarium is one of only two US aquariums to exhibit a great hammerhead shark and the only aquarium in the world with resident hippos. In addition to seeing 15,000 sea creatures, there are also innovative displays, hands-on exhibits, and feedings to keep you entertained for the whole day. Watch penguins waddle over for their dinner, pet sharks and stingrays, and see a hippo bedtime in action.

Don't forget to check out the underwater playground too, where kids can learn about sea life.

    Adventure Aquarium highlights

Creature Feature – see and touch a variety of cold water invertebrates, like sea stars, anemones, sea cucumber, snails, and more in their inter-tidal marine ecosystem.
Gill’s Grotto – geared towards younger kids, this underwater playground is a fun way for kids to interact with some of the sea life and become a part of the aquarium experience.
Hippo Haven – this vibrant theatrical environment demonstrates a day in the life on an African river for some of its native animals, the hippos – you’ll get to see the resident 3,000+ pound Nile hippos, Button and Genny, ‘nose-to-nose’ in their above and below water viewing area.
Little Blue Beach – visit the smallest (and cutest) penguins in the world playing on their sandy Australian beach. You’ll get above and below water views of the penguins so you can see them swimming and you'll learn all about them and how they cohabitate with humans in their native land.
Pirates Passage – join Captain Darkbeard on an adventure through 15 unique exhibits to help find his sunken treasure! Walkthrough the twists and turns of Pirates Passage, and see hundreds of brightly colored tropical fish, seahorses, lobster, jellyfish, eels, and more.
Ocean Realm – one of the aquarium’s highlight exhibits, this tank features giant sea turtles, stingrays, and a variety of intimidating sharks, including the great hammerhead shark - the biggest of the hammerhead species of sharks.
Shark Bridge – walk along the longest, V-shaped rope suspension bridge in the world right above the 21-foot Shark Realm exhibit – if you dare – and take a look behind the scenes of Adventure Aquarium to get a whole new perspective on the 550,000-gallon tank and its dorsal-finned inhabitants.
Shark Realm – survivors of Shark Bridge can enter the aquarium’s 40-foot shark tunnel, home to over 20 sharks and 200 animals, where you’ll literally be surrounded by some of the fiercest creatures of the sea.
Stingray Beach Club – dip your hands into the warm waters of the tropical oasis and pet several stingray species: Cownose rays, Southern stingrays, Leopard whip rays, and Yellow stingrays. During select times of the day, you can purchase cups of fish and hand-feed the stingrays (please note: the cost of stingray feed is not included with your Adventure Aquarium tickets).

Go City is a better way to sightsee. Your pass includes Adventure Aquarium tickets, plus admission to dozens of top Philadelphia attractions for one money-saving price.
