What you'll do
As the most decorated battleship in United States naval history, Battleship New Jersey served during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and through the 1980s. The self-guided tour will take you five levels up and two decks below, providing an overview of life aboard and the combat systems utilized by the sailors.
You'll learn all about the important part the Battleship New Jersey played in wartime history and get a real insight into life on board.
Your self-guided audio tour will take you five levels up and two decks below on the Battleship New Jersey. The Main Deck exhibit walks you through the ship’s history in and out of active service. Venture into the crew living spaces, the command and control centers, the Captain's quarters and the gun turrets. Squeeze through tight passageways and steep staircases to get a feel for officer and crew duties on the ship.
