The guide Chinelo was amazing and the view was lovely, however wondering we booking in advance, would prefer the tickets were purchased before we enter the grounds to avoid the 3 hour wait to buy them there through the guide

What you'll do

Climbing up the steps of this world-famous structure is how its creator, Gustave Eiffel, intended for it to be enjoyed. On this expert guide-led tour, you’ll do just that. You’ll get to know fascinating secrets behind its engineering and tales of its history as you enjoy the view, which only gets better the higher you climb!

The Eiffel Tower is simply unmissable on a trip to Paris, and this tour is the very first guide-led climb up the stairs in the tower’s history.

Those daring enough can step out on the first level’s transparent floor, where you can look down upon the forecourt below. Then you’ll carry on your climb to the second level, a dizzying 377 ft. in the air!

What's included

Experience the Eiffel Tower from within on a tour led by an expert guide up 674 stairs to the 2nd floor.
Access to the 1st and 2nd floors via the stairs.
3 - 4 hour tour experience, depending on the queues to enter the Eiffel Tower.
The guided tour ends on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower – the summit is not included.
This is a climb up the stairs without an elevator.
Your pass does not include a skip-the-line ticket. Security and entrance queues vary and cannot be bypassed.

Reservations

Booking required

Book your visit in the Go City app. Remember that your pass must be valid at the time of your reservation. You can book up to 10 days in advance of your visit.

If you already made a booking via the Experience First website, you don’t need to book again.

For visits up to April 13: Please show your Experience First booking confirmation together with your Go Paris pass. Any changes or cancellations should be handled directly with Experience First.

For visits from April 14 onward: Your booking will be automatically moved to our new platform. It will appear in the Go City app under Trip Planning, where you can manage or cancel it if needed.

Reservations secure your tour time but do not provide skip‑the‑line access at security or entry.

Plans changed?

You can amend or cancel your booking 15 minutes prior to arrival.

If you fail to cancel or amend your booking within the cancellation period, your pass will be ineligible for a refund or rebooking.

Getting in

This Tour is hosted by Experience First.

Your guide will be holding an orange sign that says ExperienceFirst. Please meet them outside the Eiffel Tower and don’t pass through any security checks. You will find them outside the South Security Entrance (Entrance #1) of the Eiffel Tower on Allée des Refuzniks, near the trees and the benches. Present your reservation confirmation and your pass will be scanned by the guide. Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in.

Once you've made your booking, you'll be sent an email confirmation with meeting point instructions.

No skip‑the‑line access – all guests must pass security screening and any entry queues. Queue times vary so please allow 3–4 hours in total due to possible queues and security.

If you miss the check-in time, unfortunately you cannot join your guide once they are already inside the Eiffel Tower grounds.

This tour is not wheelchair accessible. If you have mobility impairments, you are encouraged to visit the Eiffel Tower on your own using the special priority entrance.

Where you'll meet

Please meet the team outside the Eiffel Tower and don’t pass through any security checks. You will find them outside the South Security Entrance (Entrance #1) of the Eiffel Tower on Allée des Refuzniks, near the trees and the benches. The Allée des Refuzniks is a dirt footpath just outside the Eiffel Tower. The team will be wearing orange hats and holding an orange sign that says “ExperienceFirst.” For easier navigation, paste these coordinates into Google Maps: 48.857358, 2.293079.
