About this experience

This striking former railway station, built in sumptuous Belle Époque style, became a museum in 1986. It sits on the banks of the Seine right opposite the Louvre and specializes in works of 19th and 20th-century art, sculpture, and early photography, with an abundance of world-famous pieces by some household names including Monet, Renoir, Gaugin, Cézanne and Van Gogh.

Home to the world’s largest collection of impressionist paintings, the Musée d’Orsay is an unmissable stop for every art-lover and romantic on a trip to Paris. The museum comprises 3 floors of wondrous and celebrated artworks, including Paul Cézanne’s Apples and Oranges, Claude Monet’s Blue Water Lillies, and Édouard Manet’s Luncheon on the Grass, among many others.

Of course, it’s not all about the artwork inside. The stunning building includes many gorgeous architectural features, and behind the grand clock face that overlooks the city, you’ll find a super chic café where you can enjoy a bite, post-art-gazing.
