    About this experience

Architect Le Corbusier referred to Villa Savoye as his ‘machine for living’.

His pioneering designs – building structures using modern materials – are not only beautiful but functional. Damaged in the Second World War the house was successfully restored to its former glory.

Standing elevated in the middle of a field, Villa Savoye is built in accordance with Le Corbusier’s stylistic rules - still hugely influential today. Approaching a centennial since its original completion, it still represents the house of the future.

    Did you know?

The five fundamental principles of the modern architectural movement call for reinforced concrete pilotis (columns raising the structure off the ground), open plan design, rooftop terrace, horizontal strips of windows and free design of the façade. All of these are applied in the design of the Villa Savoye.

Go City is a better way to sightsee. Your pass includes Villa Savoye tickets, plus admission to dozens of top Paris attractions for one money-saving price.
