Admire the priceless art collections at Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde including works by both Eugen’s contemporaries, himself and modern-day pieces. The exhibitions and galleries within this stunning art museum consist primarily of Swedish artists, but also feature Nordic artists.
Garden and grounds
Prince Eugen was also a famous landscape painter who enjoyed outdoor life. At Waldemarsudde his great interest in gardens and flowers are shown. Visitors to this historic attraction can also enjoy the beautiful park and gardens decorated with the Prince Eugen’s collection of sculptures by renowned artists like Carl Milles and August Rodin.

- When Prince Eugen died in 1947, his collection was the largest private art collection in Sweden with more than 3000 works by the prince himself and several thousands of works by 450 other artists.
- Prince Eugen was interested in contemporary artworks, especially of landscape motifs and oil techniques.
