What you'll do

One of the country's most prolific artistic figures, August Strindberg's (1849 - 1912) last residence has been turned into a museum offering a fascinating look at his life. See his bedroom, workroom, dining room and library as well as pay a visit to the exhibition "Strindberg in the Center", which features books, photos, paintings and artifacts from his life and collections.

Considered the "father" of modern Swedish literature, his "Rf6da Rummet"a0is commonly described as the first modern Swedish novel. Strindberg's career spanned four decades, during which he wrote over 120 works of fiction, autobiography, history, politics and cultural commentary. About 60 of those are plays and one of his most known is "Frf6ken Julie".
