The wars Sweden fought in the 1500s were a crucial foundation to their liberation and rise from a small kingdom to a prominent region of power in Europe. Later they held neutrality in World War I and II but their involvement in the global diplomacy and economy had a significant impact that affected the conflicts and Sweden alike. Witness realistic scenes, living conditions of soldiers and the lives of the general population at the time when you take a trip to The Army Museum.

Collections
The museum is host to a collection of trophies captured during war including Danish, Polish and Russian banners. The collection is part of the global cultural heritage.

Find a memorable souevnir or toy at the gift shop and head over to the restaurant Artilleriet where you can enjoy lunch, dinner or just coffee and cake! (Please note, the restaurant may have different opening hours than the museum).

How to get there
Number 7 Spårväg City tram or buses 69, 52, 76 or 62 to Nybroplan.
Östermalmstorg, Östermalmstorg/Sibyllegatan exit.

Spring and Autumn
Tuesday: 11AM–7PM
Wednesday–Sunday: 11AM-5PM
Summertime
Monday–Sunday: 10AM–5PM
