Nordiska Museet's exhibitions explore all facets of Nordic lifestyle and Scandinavian traditions from the 16th century, through to the present day. From high-fashion to folk art, Nordiska Museet is home to over one and a half million pieces, each giving an insight into Nordic culture.
As well as a host of varied exhibitions, a trip to the Nordic Museum is worth it to enjoy the building itself. Designed in the Dutch-Danish Renaissance style by Isak Gustaf Clason, the imposing exterior and vast main hall give it an almost cathedralesque look, which will impress many an architecture buff.
