Head to Chicago’s famous Michigan Avenue and enjoy a walking tour to remember! On the Magnificent Mile Architecture Walking Tour, you’ll be treated to lakefront views, bougie stores, and–of course–fascinating architecture.

Your guide will share stories and insider info on everything skyscraper and building-related. Soak up all the history about Chicago’s role in shaping modern architecture while marvelling at beautiful examples of Art Deco, Commercial style (also known as the Chicago style), Gothic, Beaux-Arts, and more. Even the brand exteriors are stunning such as the stainless steel Burberry store and the country’s largest Starbucks!

Discover how the Chicago School laid the foundation for the modern skyscraper and see how each building radiates architectural innovation. Flaunt your stuff and strut down Rush and Oak Streets, window shopping your way past bougie brands like Cartier, Aritzia, and Porshce.

Booking required

Book your visit in the Go City app. Remember that your pass must be valid at the time of your reservation. You can book up to 10 days in advance of your visit.

You can amend or cancel your booking 15 minutes prior to arrival.

Getting in

Your guide will be holding an orange sign that says ExperienceFirst. Present your reservation confirmation and your pass will be scanned by the guide. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.

Visitor tips

This tour lasts about 90 minutes and covers about a mile at a leisurely pace.

Please note:

Make sure you dress for the weather and wear shoes comfortable for walking in. We also recommend you bring some water with you!
