About this experience
Built between 1703 and 1708, the Château de Champs-sur-Marne is the archetypal neoclassical mansion.
You’ll want to see the salon chinois (Chinese salon) decorated in sumptuous rococo and Chinoiserie style. Also check out the beautiful boiseries, removed from the Hôtel de Mayenne in Paris and installed during the 1895 restoration.
Château de Champs-sur-Marne overlooks a grand parterre with two basins extending to the Marne river. The gardens have been awarded France’s Jardin Remarquable status.
