Gustave Moreau Museum
The Gustave Moreau Museum houses the work of the French Symbolist artist most known for his ornate depictions of religious and mythological subject matter.
What you'll do
Designed by the artist, the museum’s first floor features Moreau portraits and souvenirs from his travels while acknowledged masterpieces await you on the upper floors.
Climb the impressive spiral staircase connecting the second and third-floor galleries and go back in time to Moreau’s apartment - painstakingly preserved to resemble how it was 100 years ago, complete with personal effects.

Moreau was also the professor of Henri Matisse and Georges Rouault at the École des Beaux-Arts.
