About this experience
Discover the incredibly diverse collections of Renaissance art, objects and furniture at the National Museum of the Renaissance.
The museum is housed in the Château d'Écouen built in 1555. Although later additions were added to the original castle, it remains a fine example of Renaissance architecture.
The collection is among the most esteemed of the period. It includes paintings, tapestries, silversmith/goldsmith art, stained glass, ceramics, enamel plaques, furniture, wood carvings, arms and armor.

- 16th Century Tapestries: David and Bathsheba and The life of a Man
- Statuette of Daphne: gilded silver and coral
- An early copy of da Vinci’s Last Supper painted by Marco d'Oggiono
- Stained glass including a portrait of King Francis I in prayer (1550s)

- Intricately carved furniture pieces including dressers, chairs, chests and choir screen
